Poetry: A Perfect Life

I can hardly wait ’til I get married,
to start a family I call my own.
After work come through the front door and say:
“Honey, I’m home!”

We’ll marry in church, not a cathedral.
I’ll see friends, family, guys I once knew.
Then I’ll say in front of all those people:
“Ofcourse I do!”

Hopefully soon there will come that one day,
I’ll encounter a friend from my old life.
With my spouse next to me, proudly I’ll say:
“This is my wife!”

What do I want most? That’s a good question!
To have children and a beautiful wife!
I’m telling you: “That’s how I imagine,
a perfect life!”
